The Siemens 3WJ9111-0AE05 is an undervoltage
release (UVR) accessory designed for the SENTRON / SINOVA 3WJ series Air
Circuit Breakers (ACB). It is used in low-voltage power distribution
systems to ensure automatic tripping of the breaker when the control
voltage drops or fails, providing a critical layer of electrical safety in
industrial and commercial installations.
This accessory is commonly used in PCC panels, main LT
switchboards, generator incomer systems, and critical infrastructure power networks,
where fail-safe shutdown and prevention of uncontrolled restart are
required.
The UVR works by continuously monitoring its control supply.
If the voltage falls below a defined safe level (typically around 70% to 35% of
rated voltage), the device immediately trips the ACB and prevents reclosing
until normal voltage is restored.
