Siemens Undervoltage Release – 5ST3040 (230 V AC) with
Integrated Auxiliary Switch
The Siemens 5ST3040 is a SENTRON 5ST3 series
undervoltage release (UVR) designed for automatic tripping of miniature
circuit breakers (MCBs) when supply voltage drops or is lost. It is used
with Siemens MCB ranges such as 5SL5, 5SL7, 5SY, 5SP4, 5SV, 5SU1, and 5SM2,
making it suitable for safety-critical and interlocked electrical systems.
This device includes an integrated auxiliary switch (2NO
contacts) and operates on 230 V AC control voltage, ensuring
reliable monitoring and automatic disconnection of circuits in case of
undervoltage conditions. It is commonly used in fire safety systems,
emergency shutdown circuits, industrial automation panels, and building
management systems (BMS).
