Designed for 24–48V AC (50/60 Hz) and 24–70V DC control voltages, the 3RT2916-1CB00 effectively suppresses transient surges generated when contactor coils are energized or de-energized. This protection helps safeguard PLC outputs, relays, timers, sensors, and other sensitive control devices from electrical stress and potential damage.

The suppressor utilizes a proven RC element (RC coupling) design, which minimizes voltage peaks and reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI) within industrial control systems.
